Introductions to articles


Social networking is forever on the up rise, but is it playing too much of a factor in our day-to-day lives? We wake up and our initial thought is to check what the latest gossip is within our social group, or often spend hours before bed scrolling through pointless Facebook posts, even going to the extremes to check during school hours, but why? Is it because we can? Do we feel it’s a social necessity? Or simply because we have nothing better to do with our lives? Surely people cannot get pleasure out of wasting their days looking at cringy pictures and mindless posts?


Is social networking taking over our lives? In this article we will be discussing how sites such as Facebook and Twitter are becoming an over-occurrence in the lives of youths. And if social networking is the reason for lack of social skills and face-to-face interaction.
